Bromine Queen
Do you think anything original?
A hundred gems of wisdom
Plucked from other people’s
Pens and strings
Are shelved in your emporium
If I wanted platitudes
We all know how to make em’
“All’s fair in love and war” But still
“it’s better to have wrote and sucked
Than never to have written”,
right?
I want to offer you respect
Because you always beg for it
But every time that I’m impressed
With something that you’re offering
I find that it’s been pirated!
You don’t lie
Just kinda hide
Behind a lack of forthcoming
It’s hard to think I even know you
When we happen to converse-
How many words did others thread
And you simply rehearsed?
In some way, perhaps it’s twisted,
That mystery does spark my interest
I ponder if you dream and hide
If you’re made of mirrors inside
I watch you close to look for clues
“I am rubber, you are glue”
