Edenfall
In contrary, your piety
Makes love to minds
through songs like Seraphim
Your clarity of artistry
Surpasses as amalgam
God and Sin.
In following the summoning;
The siren’s wail your
great sovereign heart beats
I cut the threads of my own fate
On wit as sharp and black as
why you weep
I trusted in you, friend and muse,
How can I reconcile:
The wealth you brought into my life,
The worldly shell my Love reviled
Your cruelty was a meager price
to pay to glimpse the visions
in your head
I know that one lies in the dark
if darkness is where one
has made his bed
I cannot say that I chose wrong
had I been choosing
only for my own
I tore apart the heart of one
who for me
only ever
wanted more
I cursed my Love with disrespect
To eat the fruit of knowledge
How can I live with my regret?
Free from that bond is heavy bondage
